Nashville
January 11, 2010We had a GREAT time in nashville, although it was too short. We were at the Professional Photographers of America’s national photographic convention. We could only stay for one day, so we made sure we made the most of our time there. We spent most of the day in the Trade show, checking all the newest and greatest products in the photographic industry. One of the cool things was the alluminum prints by one of our Grand Rapids Vendors. The fun part was that they used two of my images for their samples at the trade show!

I also spent time in a mentoring program with a National Judge for print competition. We looked at some of my images, and she gave me some suggestions and helped me pick out images that I am going to compete with. I LOVED this… it is such an honor to have wonderful photographers mentor me. I am working on getting my Masters Degree from Professional Photographers of America, and this helps me get closer!
I also walked through the prints that were on display from last years international print competition. Only prints that score a merit are displayed. Last year I was honored to have a print score a merit, so I made sure I found mine, and had my picture taken with it hanging in the exhibit!

Becky!: Cool Aluminum! Nice to see you there! :)
