Last weekend I was able to photograph Jessica’s wedding!  Jessica is a special friend to us, she used to babysit our children!  We were very blessed that Brian’s life was spared a few weeks before the wedding.  To read more, check out the Grand Rapids Wedding Photography Blog!

The Finney Family was able to get the whole family in town (Grand Rapids)  for their family portrait!  They have a busy family, with busy schedules.  But, it all came together a few weeks ago for one large family portrait!  Their family was beautiful!

Hallie drove to Grand Rapids from Lowell for her senior portrait session.  We first met out at Holland Beach for an early morning session, then went downtown to get some urban images!  I had a great time Hallie!  Thanks!

Gone again….

August 16, 2009

Well, I have been gone again.  This has been a crazy busy summer for our family.  I was gone the last two weeks… still trying to edit and do my computer work while on vacation!  (I guess you can’t call it a vacation then!  Don’t worry, I did get a little fun in too…)  First I was in Iowa.  My daughter competes on a power tumbling and trampoline team at Horizon Complex.  We had our national AAU Tumbling and Trampoline competition Aug 3-7.  I was very proud of her!  She came in 4th over all on the Trampoline!08162009210816200922

I got home at 2:30 am on Saturday morning, and left Satruday afternoon to go to a cottage for a week with my family.  My in-laws were celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, so they treated the family to a cottage for a week.  I did have to do some editing and come in to town for a wedding on Friday, but I was able to have fun with my family too (which doesn’t happen too much this time of year!)  Here are some of the fun things we did while at the cottage:

We also visited the farm where my mother in law grew up, and visited the cemetery where her parents and other relatives are buried.

Thanks for being patient with me while I was gone!

The Emery family came to Grand Rapids all the way from Chicago to get their family portraits done.  After talking on the phone, we decided on a family session at Spring Grove Park in Jamestown.  The weather threatened rain… but it held off just long enough to get our session done!  Thanks for making the trip in to Grand Rapids!

I did the two cute kids at Holland State park beach a few weeks ago.  The evening was perfect, as perfect as you can get!  Every time I go to the beach, I think that I need to go there more when I am not working, and play there!  But, for now it seams that I only go there when I am working.  This family is moving to MO, and they came to see me one last time before the move… I am so honored that they thought of that before the move!  Thanks for bringing the kids to see me Farrah!08022009050802200902080220090108022009040802200903
