Baby Cole and his brother came to the studio for newborn and 3 year old portraits last week.  Working with naked newborns can be a dangerous job… every once in a while we get something like this!

OK, this is overdue… I have been neglecting my blog! Last week I met Lauren and Carl Downtown for the engagement session. It was FREEZING!!! When I left my house to go to the morning session, it was -11 degrees…. yes, that is a negative sign in front of the number. By the time I got downtown, it was warmer. It is always warmer in the city… it was a whopping 10 degrees! But, despite the cold, it was a BEAUTIFUL morning, and we had a great session. I had a lot of fun with Lauren and Carl… thanks for making the trip in!

I love doing engagement sessions for people I know. I knew Jessica since she was a little girl. Then, when she became a teenager, she babysat for my children. Now, she is getting married! I did her and Brian’s engagement session before I left for Phoenix. I had a ton of fun! Thanks Jessica and Brian!

Now that I am back from Phoenix, I am catching up on some work! Tony and I met up for a senior session before I left… Tony loves the outdoors, so he wanted some snow portraits! Thanks Tony!

OK, I found I get free Internet in the lobby for 45 minutes with my laptop…. so I was able to upload some pictures from my sight seeing yesterday.  I went to tortilla flats…. Here is what I saw.

I am in Phoenix at the PPA national convention! I am going to my first class today by Julia Woods. I am excited to see Julia, I saw her at a seminar about 4 years ago, and she was fabulous! I will still be checking my phone and my email while I am gone, so feel free to still contact me.

I spent the day sight seeing in AZ yesterday, and I got some amazing pictures. I can’t post them, because I am on the hotel computer. I will post some when I get home!

Joel and Rachel were married last Saturday at La Grave CRC in Grand Rapids.  It was a perfect January day!  Joel gave Rachel this beautiful necklace as a wedding present!
