Mitch

August 29, 2008

I met Mitch at Spring Grove Park this week for his Senior portraits. We were going to do an indoor session too, but after the session his mom just knew that we got some awesome images, and she knew she wouldn’t need the indoor session! Well, she was right, we did get some great stuff at Spring Grove. Here are a few favorites!

Michael!

August 29, 2008

Little Michael came over this week for some 3 month old portraits! He was not so sure about getting his picture taken at first, but after a while he had some smiles for us! I always love this classic blanket shot!

Parker!

August 28, 2008

Parker came over the other day for some 6 month old portraits! He was such a cutie! Thanks Parker!

I love this one… it really shows what he is about. So often parents want pictures of their kids looking at the camera with a smile, but I think these types are so cute. I love to see their personality and their actions come through in the portrait!
Parker really liked chewing on his hands… can you tell?

Nick!

August 27, 2008

It is funny how things work out. I was shooting Nick’s senior session this week, and I was walking in a spot that I always do, and I saw the brick in this image below. I have probably walked by this brick a hundred times, but I have never photographed there. This time, I saw the color, and thought it would look GREAT with Nick’s shirt! I Love it!

Nick is the the Fire Deptartment’s explorer program. We (or at least I) had a TON of fun with is fire clothes! It’s not every day that I get to photograph a “fireman”… ok it has been NEVER that I have got to photograph a fireman! So, I had some fun!
Thanks Nick for letting me play!

The Douma Family!

August 26, 2008

Last week I photographed the Douma family… my husbands Aunt and Uncle and their children and Grand Children. We don’t see them too often any more, so it was fun to see them again! It was a perfect night at Spring Grove Park.

I just jumped for joy when my Aunt and Uncle wanted to do some fun images of them together! Aren’t they cute?

Shane!

August 25, 2008

Last week I met up with Shane at Spring Grove Park.  This is my favorite park to photograph in, because there is so much there!  Thanks for a great session Shane!

Drew + Renee!

August 20, 2008

Last weekend was Drew and Renee’s wedding! It was a beautiful day… I can’t believe how blessed we have been this summer with nice weather! the ceremony was at Ivanrest CRC, and the reception was at the Pinnacle.

Renee was so beautiful on her day!

Drew and Renee were great sports when I wanted to try a new technique… thanks for letting me play!

The limo was HUGE!  I talked to the limo driver, and he said it was the longest in the state of Michigan.  It was by affordable Limousine and Party Bus.
They were so loving on the first dance!
I thought this was GREAT!  At the reception, the way you had to make them kiss was to bowl a strike on the Wii!

The girls having fun dancing!
Congratulations Renee and Drew!  If you want to see more, watch the slide show here!

Kelly and Jesse!

August 18, 2008

Last week we were able to sneak in Kelly and Jesse’s engagement session while Jesse was in town to help Kelly move to Massachusetts. Jesse lives there now, and Kelly moved there to start her new teaching job! The weather was threatening rain, and I was worried we wouldn’t get it done before they left last weekend! But, the weather held off for us, and we had a beautiful evening at Holland Beach!

I am always amazed at how different the sky can look on different evenings along the lakeshore!
Thanks Kelly and Jesse! I can’t wait for your wedding in November!

08.NINE.08 Jeff+Andrea!

August 14, 2008

Andrea and Jeff and a gorgeous day for their wedding Last Saturday!  We were a little worried with an outdoor wedding… and there was a small chance of rain.  I had heard after the wedding that it rained a little bit in different area’s, but God must have been smiling down on Jeff and Andrea, and let them celebrate with no rain!  Their wedding was a the Trillium in Spring Lake.

Andrea made a beautiful bride! Her hair was stunning!

Andrea and Jeff gave each other gifts before the ceremony, and Andrea burst out laughing when she opened the card.  They had gotten each other the SAME card!
Jeff was handsome on his special day!

Andrea was beaming all day!  Here her dad is walking her to the ceremony.
Jeff was full of smiles too!
We stopped at the beach for a few fun beach images!

The decorations were beautiful.  They were done by Lauren Davidson from A Stylish Affair

The DJ’s were incredible!  They were keeping the party hopping NON STOP!  The dance floor was hopping ALL night long!  This is Brian from Complete Music leading the Limbo, and of course Andrea won!
He also had “Village People” costumes for the “YMCA”!
Make sure you watch the slide show HERE!

OK, Here it is… Kelli and Josh’s slide show!
