Matt + Jen!

May 28, 2008

OK… now I am caught up with Matt and Jen’s wedding! Like I said, the Holiday threw me off a little bit. So, here it is for those of you who have been checking! I have known Matt since he was about 12 years old. I love to do weddings for the people I know! I have got to know Jen over the last couple years too. The wedding was in Wyoming, MI at Lee Street CRC, my church. Don’t forget to watch the slide show linked at the bottom of this post!I think our church is so pretty inside. I love the architecture! Here comes the happy couple! We stopped at Centennial Park in Holland, MI for a few images before the reception. These are my favorite pictures of the day! (That is where the tulip one was taken that I posted yesterday.)The reception was at the Hayworth Center in Holland, MI. Jen and Matt were full of smiles all night!
And here the flower girl. She is such a cutie! I have known here since she was born too… in fact, I did her newborn portraits when she was born. Although, she didn’t like having her picture taken too much! During formals, we were just about ready to give up, and her Great Grandpa stepped in, and she did exactly what he said! You could see that she loved him! (I was thinking of offering him a job as my assistant!) I had to post this picture for Grandma, who I know is looking for it!
And of course this little guy was a cutie too! He was the ring bearer. (Kids always steal the show, don’t they?)
You can see a few more here in their slide show with a few more of the fun images!

Matt + Jen

May 27, 2008

I know that some of you are waiting for a sneak peak of Matt and Jen’s wedding! Well, let me tell you it is coming soon. The holiday threw off my schedule. I have been working on the wedding images, but I am not quite done yet. I figured I better give you one little picture, so I don’t start getting emails asking where their pictures are yet! I promise, I am working on them, and I’ll have them done soon! But for now… a little teaser….

The Rexines

May 23, 2008

I was going to wait to post this until after the holiday weekend, but I couldn’t wait. Last night I went out to Holland State Park to photograph the Rexine family. I have known the Rexines for about 2 years, and the kids are adorable! It was a little windy and cold, but the kids were troupers. At the end, I had to BEG the oldest daughter to let me do “just one more”! It was definitely worth it! I captured some great images of the children and some with mom and dad too!

I LOVE how the sky looks so blue on this one!

Little Bret didn’t want to put his hands down in the sand… I’m sure that will change soon!
We had the beach to ourselves! It was nice! (This was the one I had to beg Elizabeth to let me “do one more”! )

Melissa + Jason!

May 23, 2008

Melissa and Jason had their engagement session downtown this week. I love downtown sessions, they have to be my favorite sessions! The only thing I hate is the parking! There was a major concert downtown, so it was impossible to find a parking spot! We drove around for about 20 minutes looking for a parking spot. Then when we finally found one, we had to walk a while! But, it was worth it because I got to use a red door I had been eyeing that was on the path of our long walk!

I love engagement sessions, because it helps me get to know the couple a little bit better before the wedding. Thanks Melissa and Jason for a fun session!

Little Princesses!

May 22, 2008

Elizabeth and Anna are little ballerinas! They came to get some pictures in their dance costumes! They had so much fun dancing around in my studio!
I love this one! It shows their relationship as sisters!

Coleton!

May 19, 2008

Last week Coleton came over for his newborn session. He was less than a week old! His big brother held him for a couple portraits, but it is hard for a one and a half year old to hold a baby! Here are a few of my favorites….
Every session, I usually have one image that I LOVE. Well, this is the one from this session. I got a new basket, and some new material to go into the basket.

Family sessions!

May 15, 2008

Well, it is getting to be that time of year again with family sessions coming up! I did Denise’s family last week at their house. We also did portraits of her extended family and each of those families separately. It was a PERFECT night for it! The weather was just beautiful!

I thought this was cute of these sisters trying to kiss their brother… he wasn’t going to let them do it!

Yesterday was my Grandma’s 85th Birthday. We had a party for her! Happy Birthday Grandma! Angela picked her a bunch of dandelions!

This was our whole crew who could come to the party. I have two Aunts and some cousins that live out of state that couldn’t make it.

Abby and CJ!

May 5, 2008

Little Abby and her brother CJ came to have some newborn pictures done. Abby was a true gem, and hardly fussed at all. She still liked to curl up and sleep, which is great for newborn portraits! Here are some of my favorites!
