Hillary and Jason!

September 28, 2007

Hillary and Jason are getting married on one of the most popular wedding dates next year… June 21. At least it is a popular wedding date of brides who wanted to hire me! I had so many requests for that date… but, it is Hillary and Jason’s wedding that I am doing! It will be a fun wedding!

Hillary and Jason wanted a downtown session for their engagement session. So, This week we went downtown and had some fun. It was a BEAUTIFUL night (a little warm, but still beautiful. What is it with this hot September weather?) Any way, here are some of my favorites from the session!

Thanks Hillary and Jason for a fun time!

Sarah!

September 28, 2007

Sarah came over this week for her senior portraits. She is a senior at Wayland High School. She is a HUGE Red Wings fan! So, we had to do some pictures with her Red Wings jersey of course! I love the contrast between her red shirt and the white background!

Kelly and Josh!

September 24, 2007

Last weekend I did Kelly and Josh’s engagement session! We had a fun time downtown (after we found a parking spot!) I love to show the natural emotion and reactions!

Here are some fun ones for me….
Kelly had seen this door on my blog, so she asked if we could there. I love it when clients make suggestions on what their vision is!
I was so excited when I saw the sun here that I could create this flair image! I love sun flair!

Thanks Kelly and Josh for a fun evening downtown!

The DeWitts!

September 24, 2007

Last week I did the DeWitt family portrait. This was a special session… because this is my sister in law and brother in law! The kids bought this for their mom and dad for a gift. (I think that is a great idea!) Anyway, they had their session at Spring Grove Park. I promised Brianna a sneak peak of them on my Blog… So, here you go Brianna! I just had to post this one… Brianna wanted a jumping picture. We tried about 5 times, and still couldn’t get it together! I had to laugh when I saw them… there was never any one with everyone jumping! We were laughing as we were trying this, because we couldn’t get it together! So… here is one of them, enjoy!

Rylee!

September 21, 2007

This week I was blessed to do Rylee’s newborn session! She was SOOOOOO Good! Her mom used to babysit my children, so it was fun to see her children after all these years! I love this one, because I think it shows a little attitude…. can a newborn have attitude?

Rylee’s brother and sister came along for a few… I LOVE the look on all of the children’s faces here! It really reflects and shows what was happening!

Eric!

September 21, 2007

Last weekend I did Eric’s senior session. I photographed his older sister for her senior portraits two years ago! (Boy how time flies!) I hope that I will photograph his sisters wedding…. to my nephew in the future! Anyway, enough about Eric’s sister… lets talk about Eric! Here are a few of my favorites!

Brad!

September 18, 2007

Last week I did Brad’s senior Portraits. We did an indoor session at my home studio, and an outdoor session at Spring Grove Park. We had to tiptoe around the outside edges of the park, because there was a wedding going on there… I have to remember not to book sessions there on Fridays any more! Brad brought his trumpet along, and we took some portraits with that too! I think it looks like a CD.

I won!

September 18, 2007

I belong to an organization called Professional Photographer’s of West Michigan (PPWM). Every month we have a print competition. We can submit 1 8X10 print, of the assigned theme. This month the theme was scenic. Well, I won this month! That was an exciting thing! Here is the image I submitted:

The Hofstee’s

September 16, 2007

Last week I did the Hofstee family portraits. Michelle wanted a place that we could do a nice family portrait, then take some candid style pictures of the kids on a colorful playground. We ended up doing the session at Wedgewood park in Grandville. It turned out to be a beautiful night at the park, and we got some great images!

Here is a storyboard that I made for Michelle!

Kahley!

September 15, 2007
Wednesday was a perfect day for pictures. Kahley was a beautiful girl, and we had a gorgeous downtown session! She was so much fun, and willing to let me “play” a little with some fun stuff! We tried a few new places downtown that I hadn’t been to yet. Here are some of my favorite from her session!

This was a cool wall that she actually spotted on our way to a different spot.
I love the curve of this railing!
I walked by this stairway many times, but never really took note of how cool it would be for pictures!
This was a fun door that I have seen, but never went to for photographs. I suggested it to Kahley, and she said that she loved doors!

Thanks for a fun session Kayley!
