Scott and Amber

July 23, 2007

Saturday I had so much fun at Scott and Amber’s wedding. The wedding party was so much fun. The church was beautiful. It was very architecturally cool. (Is that even a word? I guess so, my spell checker allowed it!) Here are a few favorites…

Amber is so beautiful! I captured this image while she was getting ready.

Here is a fun one with my fish eye lens on the trolley after the ceremony! We took some nice portraits at the country club

The guys were really getting into the jumping picture! They wanted to do it over and over again! Look how blue the sky was… no photoshop tricks here. That is exactly how it was! Then we headed to the beach to do some fun stuff. There was even another wedding party there, and we took one picture with both wedding parties! (Here is just Scott and Amber’s wedding party…)

Thanks Scott and Amber! I had a lot of fun!

A few more from Austin

July 18, 2007

Austin is going to Boston to play Hockey soon, so we did some fun stuff with his hockey stick and helmet! Here are a couple from Austin’s indoor session!

Mindi and Luke!

July 18, 2007

Last Saturday Mindi and Luke were married at the Pinnacle. Mindi had the gorgeous red shoes! I love them! Luke and Mindi had a great wedding. I had a lot of fun with them. Here is the happy couple!

It was a beautiful Sunny day out, so we took advantage of the Blue sky! The wind caught Mindi’s veil at the right moment here!

The also borrowed their Grandpa’s car. It was an old Ford, so we did some fun pictures in the car!

Of course I had to try my new fish eye lens!

Austin!

July 16, 2007

Friday night I met Austin and his family. Austin goes to East Kentwood high school. We did an outdoor session at his family’s cottage on Lake Michigan. It was a beautiful spot right on the lake! When I got there I walked down the stairs to the Lake to check out the area. It was an easy walk down….. I didn’t count the steps, but there were a LOT! So, as I was huffing and puffing on my way back up, I saw this sign and had to laugh!:

Here are a some from Austin’s session.

Here is my favorite one of his family!

Tyler!

July 16, 2007

Friday I did Tyler’s senior session. Tyler goes to Grand Rapids Christian High School. He had heard about me from one of his friends who’s senior pictures I did last year. We did an outdoor session at Spring Grove Park. This was the first time I had someone walk in the water!

Emmerson!

July 13, 2007

Emmerson is a fun little girl. She has the biggest blue eyes! I photographed her sister a couple weeks ago, and now it was time for Emmerson’s one year old portraits. Like I said, I love her eyes!

Family

July 13, 2007

Family is important. I wish I had more pictures of my extended family some times. We did a portrait with my brother and sisters last Christmas, for a gift for my parents. Every year I say that I am going to do one, but I am usually too busy to get it scheduled when the weather is nice. (Because I am too busy taking other peoples pictures!) Here is a family that I did this week. Then, we got an impromptu picture of the kids climbing on the rail by the spring. Sometimes the impromptu images are the best!

Bobby

July 12, 2007

Yesterday I did Bobby’s senior session. I love doing sessions for people I know. I have known Bobby’s mom for about 12 years, although I haven’t seen bobby much in the last 7-8 years. Bobby’s grandma was Sandy, whose wedding I did a few weeks ago. Bobby was a lot of fun! We started out at Spring Grove Park in Jamestown, and finished here. Here are a couple of my favorites!
Thanks Bobby!

California!

July 10, 2007

I went to California over the weekend to help Susan Flewelling with a wedding on Catalina Island. I had so much fun meeting Susan and working with her. She is a great photographer! We did Charlie and Urania’s wedding, and it was beautiful. We took the ferry to Catalina Island where they had their wedding in the Ballroom of the Casino. It was a beautiful day with a beautiful wedding! Charlie and Urania had a lot of Asian tradition in their wedding. It was fun to see the different traditions. They served their elders tea, and they exchanged gifts with them. Then, they went around and toasted with each table. Urania had an American dress for the Ceremony, and a different dress for the Tea Ceremony, and one more for the reception.

I am also playing with some new processing techniques on these images. Here is the slide show to see some more of my favorites!

Amber and Scott

July 4, 2007

Today I did Scott and Amber’s engagement session. Well, I don’t know if you would really call it an engagement session… they are getting married in 2 weeks! And, I normally wouldn’t work on the holiday. But, Amber and Scott live in Illinois. Amber is from Muskegon, and her family lives there. The wedding will be in Muskegon. This is the first time that Amber and Scott were in Michigan since they hired me to photograph their wedding. I really like to do an engagement session with every couple, because it helps me get to know them. So, even though the wedding is in two weeks, I still wanted to do the session. Even though it was the 4th of July, I really wanted to do the session. Scott drove in last night, and is leaving today to go back to Illinois. Thanks Amber and Scott for taking a little time out of your busy day to come meat with me! Here are a few of my favorite from the session!
