Kevin And Cindy!

December 30, 2006

Yesterday I photographed Kevin and Cindy’s wedding. This wedding was a special one to me because I watched Cindy grow up. I have known her for the last 12 years. She used to baby sit my kids all the time! So, needless to say it was a special wedding. I love to do weddings for people I know, because it means a lot to me that they are trusting me with their important day.

Cindy and her family go to my church, Lee Street CRC. I love the architecture of the building. The church is 80 years old, and it is beautiful. The pictures I am going to showcase are to show off the architecture. Also, if you want to watch the slide show, click HERE!

My assistant actually took this one from the balcony.

Thank you Kevin and Cindy for letting me share in this special day with you! Congratulations!

Babies, Babies, Babies

December 29, 2006

It must be the season for babies to be born! I did Tegan’s newborn portraits on Tuesday, and Lilly’s newborn portraits on Wednesday, and I have another that just scheduled for next week. Lilly was a dream baby! She was soooo good. She didn’t cry until the end of the session which is unusual. Here is a portrait of her and her mom and dad. If you want to watch the slide show of her session, click HERE.

Tegan

December 26, 2006

Today I did Tegan’s newborn portraits. He was sooooo cute! I just love newborns. Newborn sessions are always harder to do than a regular session. The babies always have something else in mind, like snuggling up to their mommy, instead of getting their picture taken. Well Tegan was no different. I think our session lasted about 2 hours this afternoon. Kelly and Nick had their maternity pictures done about 1 1/2 months ago, and now it was time for Tegan’s pictures! You can watch his slideshow HERE.

Here is my favorite image from today’s session.

Merry Christmas!

December 24, 2006

Well, I feel like I am finally getting a break. I have been working so hard up until Christmas, with shoots, Christmas cards, and filling orders for Christmas. Now, all that is done. I still have some stuff going on, but not near the volume of the last month. So, merry Christmas everyone! I am celebrating with my family tonight, and with my husbands family tomorrow. Remember what Christmas is all about… JESUS!

Dave and Kate again

December 17, 2006

Ok, last night when I posted about Dave and Kate it was 11:17, and I had been working on the computer since 8:00 am on their wedding images. So, I forgot to tell this funny story, and post some pictures. Kate’s sister had the BEST toast speech I have EVER heard. It was hilarious! She was telling Dave that Kate could be a little tricky to try and get her way, especially when she teamed up with her sister. She proceeded telling the story of how they used to stall at bedtime when their mom was gone and their dad had to put them to bed. Then, the part that made it so great, was she actually had an audio tape of them when they were stalling their dad. The two girls were giggling, and asking for stories and drinks of water and so on…. Then their dad was getting impatient (on the tape) with them. The funny thing was I don’t think their dad had any idea that they had this tape. He had a surprised look on his face when they started playing it, which turned into laughter pretty quick. It was the funniest thing… EVERYONE was laughing! Here are some pictures of that event, and don’t forget to watch the slideshow here too!
Ok, maybe this last one was during the story about her underwear… You’ll have to ask Kate about that one!

Dave and Kate

December 16, 2006

Ok… it has been a while since I posted again. I just have been soooo busy! I will catch up in Jan and show you some stuff I missed.

Yesterday I had so much fun at Dave and Kates wedding! It was a great day. It was a little cold, but not too cold to go out side and take some pictures!

The wedding was in Holland, and the reception was in Spring Lake at the Trillium. It was very elegant. Dave and Kate were so much fun (isn’t every bride and groom? I feel like I keep repeating myself.) the church was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It made for a very elegant wedding. I put together a little slide show. Check it out here!
