Some of my Recent images

June 29, 2006

I’ve been very busy the last few weeks. I have done some family pictures, and some childrens sessions too. I went to Holland State Park this week to photograph 3 adorable children! We had a lot of fun playing on the beach! I also captured some newborn portraits for little Zachary. These are some of my favorites from the last couple weeks.

It was a HOT day on Friday. Molly and Brad were married on that hot day. Even though it was hot, they had a beautiful wedding. We were able to capture some fantastic images of their special day. By looking at the pictures you would never know it was 91 degrees and humid! They were great sports, doing what I asked them, despite the fact that they would have rather just gone inside and sat in the air conditioned counsel room in the church. Here are a few of my favorite from that day.

Eddie and Jodi

June 14, 2006

This weekend Jodi and Eddie were married! It was a beautiful day. The weather was absolutely perfect. It wasn’t too hot or too cold, and the sun was shining. We had a great day, they were so fun to work with. Eddie and Jodi were very natural and relaxed in front of the camera. I was able to have a great assistant for the day, and we captured some beautiful shots of Eddie and Jodi’s special day. The rest of the images should be available to view online soon, so check back!

I did Sarah and Cody’s engagement pictures Friday night. It was a beautiful night in the park. I was able to meet Cody for the first time. This is why I love to do engagement pictures before the wedding. It helps me get to know the bride and groom a little more. I get to see how they react with each other, and it helps us feel more comfortable with each other. I had a lot of fun with Sarah and Cody, and got some great images of the two of them. I am looking forward to their upcoming wedding!

Baby Lucas

June 9, 2006

I had the privilege of doing baby Lucas’ newborn portraits yesterday. He was adorable. He was a typical newborn and wanted to sleep most of the time. But we were able to catch a few with his eyes open! His dad is serving our country and is only home for a short time. So, we made sure we got some of the two of them and with mom too. Thanks for giving me this privilege!

Karyn and Josh had their engagement session this week, too. It was fun. They were an exciting couple, so in love. This makes my job so fun. They were easy to work with in front of the camera, and we were able to capture that loving relationship in the images. I am excited to do their wedding this fall!

Well, I have had a busy week. I think that things are starting to pick up for the summer. I did little Bryce’s pictures on Tuesday. He was such a cutie! We had to work a little to get some smiles, but it was worth it! Here is my favorite one.

Stars on Stage

June 5, 2006

My two girls are gymnasts at Horizon Complex. They had their year end recital last Saturday. I was the event photographer for the event. I had a lot of fun taking the pictures, but it was challenging! The lighting was diffiuclt, but I went to the rehursal and worked out a few things. I wanted to be close, but not too close where I cut off their legs when they did a cartwheel! All in all it was a fun challenging day. The images turned out great. Here are a few of them. If you want to see them all, click on the online proofing tab on my website, and choose the Stars on Stage shows. Enjoy the show!

Lighting

June 2, 2006

Well, I finally got time to practice some new lighting techniques that I learned at the seminar last week. We had a lot of fun playing around while I tried them!
